Don’t be shocked, its in german – this certainly does not mean that i want to shut out international clients, but steinerei is rather the portal for work in austria. However, i am still happy to work for international clients, just let me know what i can do for you!

also, on another note, i started selling pictures at shutterstock. you can head over to my shutterstock gallery via http://www.shutterstock.com/gallery-553738p1.html. so far its only a limited selection of some photos and some fun illustrations, but i am planning of adding some stuff when i have the time. here a sneak peak of some of my images:

Steinerei

My dear friends, this is already my 8th year of freelancing. So far I always had a problem with seperating my workstuff from my artwork, which affected the way how i would display stuff – should i show my workprojects, my bread and butter jobs or more of the artistic stuff.

Until now i was leaning more into the artistic stuff that i mainly did for musicrelated clients. While this was definitely one of the main things i focused on in the last few years I also started to do commercial stuff which did not fit into the frame that i set myself with deaddreamer.

As you probably might know, the music industry is in a steady decline. sure, the big artists are still making big bucks, mainly because of their cross-platform marketing and concerts. Cd sales are low to non-existant and lots of labels are either defunct or heavily reduced their releases.

Electronic music has a big disadvantage in this downhill rumble: their listeners are generally technologically advanced and can download an entire album from a torrent or a rapidshare directory quick, efficiently and without any hassle.

So music generally got easier accessible and as a result it also got a serious decline of worth. I am one of those persons who noticed this already years ago. within the last eight years i probably made the artwork for about roughly 100 different cds. this year i made so far three albums – basically everybody i worked with is not releasing anything further.

In the meantime i also shifted my work focus on more down to earth stuff. design. print. flyers. logos. the usual stuff that you do as a graphic designer. unluckily those projects did also not fit will the deaddreamer stuff.

since a while i am thinking how to split those things and after some headache and idea finding i finally settled on www.steinerei.at.

Steinerei is still work in progress though, the actual webpage will still need a while until its done. While my work webpage will be in german, this does not mean that englishspeaking clients should not feel welcome – i still will do international jobs, don’t worry.

From now on you will find my workstuff there, with a strong focus on commercial design and Deaddreamer will be dedicated as my my personal playground. This also gives me more freedom what i am posting here, because i can do it as a private person and not as a company.
